The ski area of Wilder Kaiser in Tyrol comprises the main mountain range of the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental, Austria's largest ski area , in the northern Kitzbüheler Alps. It has been awarded Best Skiing Area of the World for the 4th time in succession. 90 cable cars and modern lifts enable access to 280 km of piste with perfectly prepared wide slopes ideal to enjoy carving and over 70 mountain huts to savour a break. Snow cannons keep 245 kilometres of piste covered in snow thus guaranteeing skiing for the whole season. Skiing in the Wilder Kaiser, that's the pinnacle! Ellmau, Going, Scheffau, Söll, Brixen im Thale, Westendorf, Hopfgarten, Kelchsau, Itter belong to SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental.
Ellmau, Going, Scheffau and Söll are connected by cable cars, so you can ski from Brandstadel Scheffau to Ellmau Hartkaiser or Hohe Salve in Söll and from Brixen to Westendorf. In Going you can enter the Skiwelt via Astbergbahn.
Between Going and Ellmau there are plenty of training lifts for beginners. Well-skilled instructors of 13 ski schools in the region Wilder Kaiser will get you started! The four villages also offer kids lessons and full-time supervision for our youngest guests.
